Marshalltown, IA Photographer | My darling Ciela

I recently ordered a backdrop from The Backdrop Shop for valentines, they have some seriously cute backdrops and I cannot wait to get more.  But until then I wanted to add some more variety to the ones I already have.  While wondering thru Wal-Mart (love/hate that place) I stumbled into the fabric section and noticed they have redone their prices and have some seriously cute fabrics on hand now.  Why haven't I thought of using fabric for backdrops before… uh… duh!  I bought 6 different patterns and secured them to cardboard instead of just attaching them to my backdrop stand.  I put a different fabric on both sides of the cardboard and there you have it, two portable backdrops in one!

Now I needed to try them out and had to look no further than my darling Cici.  This girl makes me smile every day.  She, like all of my children, has such a fun personality.  She had her demands, gold fish crackers and music {models are high maintenance ;)}.

I am also hoping to offer video's to my clients as a part of their package in the near future so I played around with Animoto yesterday.  I only purchased the plus version and plan to get the pro version soon but didn't want to commit if I didn't love it.  OH MY….  MELT MY HEART.  I love the product!  I have watched the video over and over.  It reminds me of the slide the photographer put together of Cici's first pictures from the hospital that had me in tears every time I watched it (I am sure it wasn't the hormones after just have given birth).  Go check out my facebook page to view the video.  (My blog is being lame and I can't get the video to work right on it).

Now be prepared for an overload of pictures!

Marshalltown, IA Photographer | Isaac

Wow, I can't believe that we are already in 2015!  I am so excited to see what this year holds for this sweet little business of mine.  If it continues to bring sweet little babies my way I will be more than happy!  I mean I get to cuddle them, play with them and then give them right back :)  That is how I like it!  My baby is 5 years old and not that I don't think babies are the most precious thing ever but my time being a momma to a baby is over.  It is crazy how life changes and how quickly it goes by…. I just realized the other day that my time taking care of a little being that is completely dependent on me is over!  I mean a 5 year old has a lot of demands but I am not required to get up multiple times in the night or physically feed her anymore and you know what?  I am so happy with that!  We have 4 pretty amazing children and are in no way even close to being done raising them but I am loving the place we are in life right now.   I am so excited to see my friends welcoming new additions to their family but to realize we are now in a completely different place is kind of fun.  We are entering into the teenage years with the older ones and next year our babe will be a full timer at school.  Life is a-changin!

Now let's get on to business!  Let me introduce to you a precious little bundle of cuteness!  Meet Isaac :)
